Top 7 Best Attacking Tridents in Europe

The 2014-15 season has commenced and the clubs have all completed their summer transfer activities, with major signings for the heavyweights of Europe.

Be it the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga or Serie A, all giants of European football have made some stellar signings, adding to their existing rosters and are geared up to challenge for the respective league titles and continental silverware.

But who now has the best attacking options?

7. Juventus - Carlos Tevez, Paul Pogba, Arturo Vidal

The Italian champions have undoubtedly the best squad in Serie A and are favourites to land their fourth consecutive title this year.
Manager Massimiliano Allegri has started the 2014-15 campaign on a high and would want to build on the success and foundation laid by former boss Antonio Conte.
Players to watch
Carlos Tevez - A goal-poacher by nature, his never-say-die-attitude has made the Argentine one of the top strikers in the world. Brings success to (almost) whichever club he plays for be it Manchester United, Manchester City or Juventus.
A complete striker with passing, dribbling, finishing, set-piece taking being his key strengths.
Paul Pogba - The Frenchman was awarded the Best Young Player of World Cup 2014 and is ready to take on every new challenge that comes his way.
Instrumental in Juventus’ title venture and a major transfer target of heavyweights like Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
Arturo Vidal - Made his name in Juventus colours after transferring from Bayer Leverkusen in 2011 for a fee of €10.5million, and has carried on with his superb performances for Chile as well in World Cup in Brazil.
A vital player for Allegri this season as without him the attack of the Bianconeri looks lacklustre. Brings stability to midfield linking up with the forwards.

6. Manchester City - Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure, David Silva

One of the contenders for the Premier League, the reigning champions would want to dominate English football like the red half of Manchester have in the past.
With a star-studded lineup, Manuel Pellegrini is confident his side has the depth and quality to produce back-to-back titles.
Players to watch
Sergio Aguero - Since his debut against Swansea three years back, Aguero has been a fan favourite at the Etihad Stadium. The main man to find the back of the net for the Sky Blues, Pellegrini will be reliant on him to take charge.
The only hindrance is Aguero sustaining injuries in the last 10 months, but if he is fit there is a tough task in hand for the opposition defenders.
Yaya Toure - The playmaker of Manchester City. A leader by nature, Toure brings experience and his footballing genius whenever he takes the field.
With a pass success rate as high as 91.1 percent last season, Toure is the ace in the pack for City. The 31-year-old has delivered every time when required.
David Silva - Linking the midfield and attack, the Spaniard brings diversity to the City line-up playing different roles, as a playmaker, false 9 or winger.
Adapted to English football in no time after joining from Valencia, Silva knows fans expect him to be his absolute best every time and he won’t disappoint. A quick-thinking individual, his exceptional skills would take City forward.

5. Bayern Munich - Robert Lewandowski, Mario Gotze, Arjen Robben

The Bundesliga champions had an excellent summer, acquiring Robert Lewandowski, Mehdi Benatia, Pepe Reina and Xabi Alonso for a combined fee of only £29million.
Manager Pep Guardiola has proved himself in the German league but is now ready with his squad to challenge for European glory.
Players to watch
Robert Lewandowski - The Polish striker took the game by storm during the 2012-13 season playing for Borussia Dortmund and has now joined rivals Bayern Munich on a free transfer.
A consistent goalscorer, he has taken no time to settle in with his new teammates and start scoring immediately.
Mario Gotze - Germany's winning goal in the World Cup final in Brazil is still fresh in everyone's minds and on the back of a successful club and country season, Gotze would like to flourish further under the watchful guidance of manager Pep Guardiola.
Arjen Robben - The Dutchman is the backbone of Bayern Munich and the Netherlands national team. With a brilliant domestic season and a commendable third place finish in the World Cup, Robben would want to further improve from where he left off last term.
A counter-attacking threat for rivals, Robben is the players linking up midfield and attack for the Bavarians.

4. Manchester United - Radamel Falcao, Wayne Rooney, Angel Di Maria

The big spenders of the transfer window made as many as six major signings although will not be competing in the Champions League this term.
The Red Devils would want the players to adapt to manager Louis van Gaal’s 3-5-2 system quickly as they are still in search of their first win of the season after three league games, securing two draws against Sunderland and Burnley with a loss a home to Swansea in the opening matchday.
Players to watch
Radamel Falcao - In the highlight of transfer deadline day, Radamel Falcao signed for the Red Devils on a season long loan deal.
A prolific goal-scorer for Porto and Atletico Madrid, United will be hopeful he is able to replicate this form following his move to Old Trafford.
A menace for the opposition defenders, the Colombian is all geared up to guide Manchester United back to the glory days.
Wayne Rooney - The club captain might now be used more in a supporting role after the signing of Falcao, but his role and influence at Old Trafford will be no less important.
Being one of the best talents in the country, Rooney will be up for any challenge that comes along.
Angel Di Maria - The Argentine winger became the most expensive player in British soil after Manchester United shelled out £59.7million to Real Madrid.
Fans expect Di Maria can provide the impetus and, if his showing in the Argentina vs Germany friendly is anything to go by,there are indeed big things to happen at Old Trafford from the 26-year-old.
Pace, dribbling and crossing being his strengths, Di Maria can provide quick counter-attacking threats for the opposition. Could be the most significant signing during the Van Gaal era.

3. Chelsea - Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas, Eden Hazard

Chelsea were the winners of the summer transfer window, of that we can be sure.
Jose Mourinho knew which players he wanted at Stamford Bridge and the club did their utmost to acquire some of the best talents across Europe. Mourinho now has a squad that can challenge for the domestic as well as European success.
The weak links have been sorted within an already strong and star-studded roster. The only club among the top four which sold players close to the amount they spent for the summer acquisitions.
Players to watch
Diego Costa - The type of striking power that was missing from Stamford Bridge last season, Costa has already found the back of the net four times in three league outings for Chelsea.
He has carried on from where he left off at Atletico Madrid last season and no doubt he will be first choice ahead of Didier Drogba and Loic Remy, although his fitness is already proving a concern.
Cesc Fabregas - The signing who is referred to as the player who will win Jose Mourinho the league title. A brilliant playmaker, Fabregas’ qualities are well known to Premier League following his six year stay at Arsenal.
Already with the most assists in the ongoing season, with four in three Premier League games, Fabregas will be the pivotal figure around whom the team will be built. Mourinho is highly reliant on his expertise and the Spaniard won’t disappoint.
Eden Hazard - Eden Hazard is by far the best player at Chelsea and is into his third season with the west London club. The Player of the year for 2013-14 for his club, Hazard is instrumental to Chelsea’s success and with his talent and skills they could well be one of the best clubs in Europe.
Rated highly by Mourinho and the manager says he has the skills and technique to be a future Ballon d’Or winner.

2. Real Madrid - Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo, James Rodriguez

The Champions League winners have one of the strongest squads in Europe and could well be the first club in history to retain the trophy with the amount of talent present at the club.
Although two of the most eminent players like Xabi Alonso and Angel Di Maria left Santiago Bernabeu, the acquisitions of Toni Kroos and James Rodriquez for a combined fee of €100million could be the appropriate answer to the loss.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti will be targeting Liga title as well having ended last season behind both Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.
Players to watch
Gareth Bale - The Wales international came up with instrumental performances in the Copa del Rey and Champions League finals .A quick-thinking individual, Bale’s decision making on the pitch is top notch and uses his speed incredibly well.
His partnership and link-up play with Cristiano Ronaldo is exquisite and more trophies beckon if he continues with the form he displayed last season.
Cristiano Ronaldo -The Ballon d'Or winner had a forgettable World Cup for Portugal on the back of a successful Champions League campaign of last season. But coming back from injury, Ronaldo would prove why he is regarded as one of the best in the world.
His technical abilities and skills are no match for most players and would only get better as the season progresses.
James Rodriguez -The record signing of 2014-15 season for Los Blancos, Rodriguez became the first Colombian goalscorer for the Galacticos.
The Golden Boot winner of World Cup 2014 would want to prove his worth on the pitch for Real Madrid. Still young at only 23,Rodriguez has time to further improve and be counted among the best.

1. Barcelona - Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi, Neymar

The Catalan club had their busiest transfer window ever signing as many as seven players. Manager Luis Enrique was clear for which positions he needed new signings.
Spending a whooping €157million this summer, Barcelona were mindful to recruit given the transfer sanctions that will be imposed following the close of the window.
Players to watch
Luis Suarez - Probably the most creative striker in world football today, Suarez will be a success for Barcelona when he returns to take the pitch at Camp Nou.
His first game for the Catalan club will be the El Clasico and he will definitely show why he is rated so highly globally.
Lionel Messi - The best player of this generation, Messi is indispensable to FC Barcelona. Unmatchable skills and a footballing genius, the Argentina captain knows the club and fans expect extraordinary performances from him every time he takes the field.
Neymar - Neymar offered glimpses of his talent last season in Barca colours and his link up play with the frontline at Camp Nou has been praised. Now with Suarez for company, Neymar and Messi could run havoc for oppositions in La Liga and Champions League this season.
