In this article, I am going to focus on the favourites to finish the season with the most goals and which player is predicted to win the Serie A golden-boot so to speak.
Last season it was Ciro Immobile from Torino who finished as the league's top goalscorer, scoring 22 goals for his club, but with him now playing in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund, the race for this season's golden-boot could be interesting.
We are now going to look at the top THREE favourites to win the individual award, before adding some noteable additions for the prize as well.
3 - Mattia Destro
Third favourite to finish as Serie A's top goalscorer is AS Roma striker Mattia Destro, who can be found on SkyBet as 8/1 to win the individual award.
The Italian striker, who was a transfer target of Premier League side Chelsea this Summer, was in fine-form for Roma last season, netting 13 goals and finishing as the club's top goalscorer for the 2013/2014 season.
Rudi Garcia's side are predicted to finish 2nd once again this season and a lot of their hopes will rest on Destro's shoulders, and he will be hoping that he can add to his tally of 13 last campaign.
The 23-year-old was subject of a £20million bid from Chelsea over the Summer, but Garcia was firm in saying that he wouldn't be leaving the club, and he is set for another main-role in Serie A this season.
2 - Carlos Tevez
Second favourite to win the goalscoring award is Juventus striker, Carlos Tevez, and his odds currently stand at 7/1, just ahead of Roma's, Destro.
The Argentinian has been a real hit in Italy since arriving from Manchester City a couple of years ago, and after scoring 19 last season for the champions, Tevez is expected to have a busy campaign once again this time around.
Juve, who won their third consecutive Serie A title last season, have a whole host of talent at their disposal, especially in the attacking department, but all eyes will be on Tevez as he looks to battle it out for the individual gong.
Tevez finished just three goals shy of Immobile's tally last season and will be feeling confident about contributing heavily once again as Juve look favourites to secure yet another league title.
However, with Fernando Llorente and Alvaro Morata also at the club, Tevez will have to be on his best form to keep in the starting XI week in, week out.
1 - Gonzalo Higuain
The favourite to land this season's Serie A top goalscorer award is Napoli striker and Carlos Tevez's national team-mate, Gonzalo Higuain, who can be found at 6/1.
The Argentinian is predicted to finish as the league's top scorer after settling into Italian life and also the style of football in Serie A.
Higuain, who joined Napoli from Real Madrid last Summer, netted 17 goals in his debut season, and will be hopeful of scoring more this time around.
Despite being linked with a switch to FC Barcelona over the Summer after Lionel Messi tried to tap him up during the World Cup, Higuain committed his future to the Italian side and is now ready to prove to the club what he can really do once he's settled into life in a new country.
Higuain will play as a lone-striker in Rafael Benitez's side and the Spaniard will hope that his main-man can contribute heavily as they look to compete with Juventus and AS Roma for the league title.
