A group of Manchester United supporters are attempting to raise money for a plane to fly an anti-David Moyes banner during Saturday lunchtime's Premier League kick-off against Aston Villa.


Users of the influential Red Issue forum have become disillusioned with the current Red Devils' boss, while Tuesday night's 3-0 defeat to local rivals Manchester City appears to have been the final straw.

In a response to the club insisting that the controversial "The Chosen One" banner will keep its place on the Stretford End, Red Issue users are now attempting to raise enough money for a Moyes Out banner to fly above Old Trafford this weekend, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The thread on the website of the fanzine claims that it would cost £840 in order to make it happen, while donations have already been made. However, with just two days to go before kick-off, it's unlikely they will raise enough money in time.

Moyes is under intense pressure following a disastrous debut campaign in charge of Manchester United. However, M.E.N understand that the Glazer family are still backing the under-fire Scot.
