While the Premier League has the likes of Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie, Liverpool's formidable force of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge, and Manchester City's star double act of Alvaro Negredo and Sergio Aguero, La Liga is home to the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Diego Costa, all of whom are striving to help their side win the title in a remarkably close campaign in Spain.
But just who are the best? While the debate could go on and on, we will let the stats do the talking, as i will take you through the five duos with the most goals this season across Europe's major leagues.
5. Pedro & Alexis Sanchez
With star forwards Lionel Messi and Neymar often missing through injury, Barcelona have been thankful for the contribution Alexis Sanchez and Pedro have had on the attacking side of their team.
The pair have already netted 26 times, a vital reason as to why they sit at the top of La Liga, all be it on goal difference from the Madrid sides.
Often overshadowed by the talents of their South American teammates, Pedro and Sanchez have shown how clinical they can be in front of goal, and will no doubt continue to play a huge part determining Barcelona's fortunes as we reach the business end of the season.
4. David Villa & Diego Costa
Level on points with Barcelona at the top of La Liga, Atletico Madrid may well be set to spring a huge surprise and break the dominance that the Catalan club and Real Madrid have had on Spanish football in recent years.
Still very much in the title race, much of this is down to the part their strikers David Villa and Diego Costa have played. With 31 goals between them it's no coincidence Diego Simeone's side continue to improve, and if they can keep up their fine run of goal-scoring, there may well be an historic end to the season yet to come.
3. Zlatan Ibrahimovic & Edinson Cavani
Following their 3-0 victory over Valenciennes last night, PSG have opened up an eight-point gap at the top of Ligue 1.
Another goal from their star man Zlatan Ibrahimovic means the Swede and his Uruguayan strike partner Edinson Cavani sit third in the list with 32 goals between them.
Now firm favourites to defend their league title, PSG will be hoping the duo can help them progress deep into the Champions League latter stages, and in the form they are in, could perhaps be the dark horses to lift the trophy come May.
2. Cristiano Ronaldo & Karim Benzema
With an array of attacking options at Real Madrid, including Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo, it comes as no surprise they both feature at the top end of the charts.
Alongside Frenchman Karim Benzema, Real posses the second best strike partnership on current form, with a total of 35 goals between them this season.
As the Portuguese star continues to defy belief with his outstanding goal ratio, Benzema is an adequate companion upfront for the Spanish giants, but both will know they must continue to find the net regularly if they are to defeat Barcelona and city rivals Atletico in the quest for the Spanish title.
1. Luis Suarez & Daniel Sturridge
Liverpool have been in outstanding form recently, and in Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez, have Europe's best strike partnership in terms of goals scored.
With 39 goals already, it's no coincidence that the form of the 'SAS' has led to claims that this could
finally be Liverpool's year in the Premier League title race.
Realistically a top-four spot and a place in the Champions League would be a huge success, but whisper it quietly, if these two can continue firing in front of goal, the trophy could be on it's way to Anfield come the end of the season.
