Fulham complete deadline-day deal for Mitroglou

Fulham have completed the deadline-day signing of Greek striker Konstantinos Mitroglou from Olympiakos for an undisclosed fee, thought to be around £11m.

A prolific striker in his home country, the 25=year-old was the subject of a late bid from Fulham's London rivals West Ham, but opted for the chance to ply his trade in west London instead.
Mitroglou has signed a four-and-a-half year deal with the struggling club and will be looking to continue his rich vein of goalscoring form in the Premier League, having left the Greek Super League as the league's top scorer.

He has also scored in the Champions League this season, hitting a hat-trick against Anderlecht in a Group C match in October, one of four hat-tricks he has hit this season.

His signature will be seen as a major coup for the relegation-threatened club, who hope his arrival - along with the other signings who have arrived at Craven Cottage in this transfer window - can help catapult the team up the table.
