Chelsea predicted line-up vs Sunderland

Who will start for Chelsea at the Stadium of Light?

Chelsea will be looking for their third straight Premier League victory when they take on a struggling Sunderland side at the Stadium of Light tomorrow evening.
The Blues head to the Black Cats off the back of a fine second-half display that saw them overturn a 1-0 deficit to beat Southampton 3-1 at Stamford Bridge this past weekend.

And with Jose Mourinho's side now sitting in second place in the Premier League table, the Chelsea manager will be desperate for his side to close the gap on leaders Arsenal.

Ahead of the game tomorrow evening, the Chelsea boss may have to make a couple of changes to the side that beat the Saints on Sunday.

In that game, Mourinho saw star man Oscar come off injured and the attacking-midfielder now looks set to miss tomorrow's clash.

Another absentee in Chelsea's midfield could be Michael Essien after the 31-year-old struggled in the first-half against Southampton.

In place of Oscar and Essien could be Frank Lampard and John Obi Mikel, who both came off the bench at the weekend.

It's likely the Blues boss will keep his centre-back pairing of John Terry and Gary Cahill after the duo impressed and scored against the Saints.

However, Mourinho could give a recall to Ashley Cole in the left-back position as he may hand Cesar Azpilicueta a rest.

With Oscar out, Juan Mata looks set for an extended stay in Chelsea's starting XI. The Spaniard impressed against the Saints at the weekend and now looks likely to keep his place in the side tomorrow.

Another Spanish international that impressed at the weekend was Fernando Torres and the Blues forward should get the nod once again in attack.

Chelsea's predicted XI vs Sunderland: Cech, Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill, Cole, Mikel, Lampard, Ramires, Mata, Hazard, Torres
