Manchester United ace must adapt & become a superstar

Shinji Kagawa can still cut it at Manchester United & become a star.

Shinji Kagawa has already become a fans favourite at Manchester United despite his Old Trafford career having never really taken off.

The Japanese international has been in-and-out of the team since leaving behind Borussia Dortmund just over a year ago. On occasions, the 24-year-old has looked a class act, but at other times he has gone missing when United have needed him to step up.

Yet to really turn up in the biggest games, Kagawa still has a lot to prove at the Theatre of Dreams. The biggest problem he has faced at United is not playing in his favoured No.10 position, just off the striker.

And, unfortunately, while Wayne Rooney is around, Kagawa is never going to become Manchester United's main-man.

However, of late, he has started to show signs of consistency despite not making a major impact. And despite having to play off the left, he has the ability to adapt and succeed under Moyes.

If the United boss sticks with him, then he can become a major asset even if he doesn't play in his preferred role.

However first, he has to learn his new position and learn how to make the best of it. If he does that and starts doing what he did in Germany, then he can become a key player for United and start creating and scoring goals again.

With great skill, awareness and vision, it shouldn't really matter which position he plays in as he still has the ability to make a difference. At times he has been criticised for being lightweight, but this is something that shouldn't stop him.

The Japanese ace has fantastic balance and must start utilising his strengths. Perhaps at times he is over thinking and just needs to concentrate on what he does best. If he does this then he can start taking the Premier League by storm.

Manchester United, without question, have an extraordinary talent, but he just needs belief and confidence, then the Red Devils faithful may start seeing the best out of their beloved star.

Kagawa has the confidence of the fans and the confidence of his manager. Now he just needs to remember what made him one of the most sought after stars and kick on in his Manchester United career.
