Newcastle shocked
Chelsea with a 2 nil victory at St James's Park. Yoan Gouffran scored Newcastle's
first goal at 68th minute, assisted by Yohan Cabaye. Loïc Remy added a late goal
at 89th minute to ensure three points for The Toons. This is Chelsea's second
Premier League defeat of the season.
Arsenal schooled Liverpool at Emirates Stadium by beating them 2 nil. Gunners remained at the top of the EPL table, with five
points clear from second placed Chelsea. This could be a great motivation for
Arsenal, before they play against Manchester United at Old
Trafford during next weekend.
Manchester United
crushed Fulham 3-1 at the Craven Cottage, with three goals scored by
Antonio Valencia, Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney within 13 minutes. Dimitar
Berbatov would have loved to score playing against his former club.
Manchester City
hammered Norwich 7-0. All seven goals were scored by different players! City
keeper Joe Hart was dropped for City's match against Norwich City . Hart has
been under tremendous pressure after he make a series of high-profile mistakes
in recent football matches. Costel Pantilimon came in as Hart's replacement, after he
helped City to keep a clean sheet during midweek's Capital One Cup match
against Newcastle. He managed City's defence by keeping a clean sheet against Norwich.
