After a splendid performance by Kagawa in his preferred role, David Moyes has a dilemma to address

Manchester United thrashed Bayer Leverkusen 5-0 and recorded their highest away win in a Champions League game this week.

With the timeless Giggs and the ever impressive Wayne Rooney giving amazing performances, another man is receiving credit and rightly so.

Shinji Kagawa was given his favoured no.10 role, and subsequently United fans and the manager alike saw the Japanese artist at his best. He orchestrated one of the best United displays in David Moyes' era to date.

At present with David Moyes going for the 4-2-3-1 formation, given Robin van Persie gets back to match fitness, it'll be a dilemma for the manager. With his display against Bayer Leverkusen, its quite certain that the manager would wish to give the no.10 role to the Japanese international, but if David Moyes does decide so, where will Rooney play?

Wayne Rooney has been the best performer for United this season, and David Moyes knows that it will be a crime to leave a fit Rooney on the bench. Although Kagawa did impress against the German side, Rooney outclassed the former by bagging three assists as well.

In their present set-up and with Robin van Persie fit, Kagawa won't be given the No.10 role, he will be used on the left more often.

But there is a small possibility that David Moyes could push Wayne Rooney to one of the wings, if Kagawa seriously impresses him with a string of quality performances.

Since Rooney can play as winger as well, it could become a deadly combination. With the trio of Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Shinji Kagawa going all guns blazing, it will be a huge boost to the new manager.

There is another choice that David Moyes could go for, but it is very unlikely.

The manager could opt for a 3-5-2 formation, which preserves United's wing play, Kagawa will retain his no.10 spot and the duo of Van Persie and Wayne Rooney will head the attack. But 3-5-2 formation, causes the wing-backs to be sacrificed, and also such a formation is uncommon in the Premier League.

If David Moyes does go for it, it will be a bold statement to the both the United faithful and the management that it is the birth of a new era.
